Blown Film Extrusion Operator Effective June 2, 2022, Scholle IPN is now part of SIG.


We are currently hiring for several Blown Film Extrusion Operators for our Chilhowie, Virginia facility! Blown Film Extrusion Operators set-up and tends film extrusion machinery as specified by performing the following duties.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform screen changes
  
  


• Perform film separations
  
  


• Perform product set-ups
  
  


• Perform treater verifications and webbing
  
  


• Visually inspect film and rolls for defects
  
  


• Perform bubble start-ups, cold starts ups, and cold shutdowns
  
  


• Adjust temperature profiles per standard operating conditions
  
  


• Operate and program receiver pumps
  
  


• Enter blend recipes
  
  


• Perform all essential Level 1 duties as needed
  
  


• Train employees
  
  


• Other duties as assigned
  
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  
  


• Blown Film Extrusion Operator Experience
  
  


• Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred
  
  


• Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills
  
  


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and PowerPoint presentations
  
  


• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  
  


• Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities
  
  


• Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications preferred
  
  


• Ability to perform overtime when needed
