Job Description
In this position you will perform all duties related client engagements focused on commercial damages. These duties range from identifying leads and setting up initial contact with clients and/or attorneys through report submission and deposition/testimony, as required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meeting with clients and counsel to evaluate disputes including breach of contracts, intellectual properties, lost profits, business interruptions, forensic accounting, and class actions that are currently or are expected to be involved in litigation to assess their case specifics and any potential damages
Maintaining up-to-date understanding of commercial damages law and advise clients and team on relevant changes
Writing reports, creating slides and demonstratives, preparing ad hoc deliverables for clients
Working with client legal teams to support expert reports and provide technical and strategic assistance during Commercial Damages-related litigation
Identifying possible opportunities for expansion and practice development
Leading and coordinating a team of analysts and managers performing multiple types of analyses on multiple projects
Conducting training sessions and workshops for clients and employees to raise awareness of issues related to Intellectual Property and Economic Damages
Providing support to Executive Vice Presidents of the Company
Qualifications
BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics or related field with extensive experience in litigation and economic damages in commercial disputes - advanced certification (CPA/CFE) are helpful
10+ years experience with estimating damages related to commercial damages (Lost profits, business interruption, class actions, intellectual property infringement, etc) in a litigation setting
Willingness to be "hands-on" manager with full responsibility for delivering high quality work product
Established reputation for high-level of professional expertise; established relationships with clients a plus
Prior experience having deposition taken and/or providing trial or arbitration testimony
Distinguished academic achievement
Solid analytical skills, attention to detail and quality control
Proven ability to work well in a team environment
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and flexibility
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Positive attitude and outstanding client presence

The base salary hiring range for this position is 170,000 to 190,000 USD with bonus and incentive eligibility but can go higher depending on the level of the candidate and their client following.
