Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Greater Seattle Area.

As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be located at the client's facility on a daily basis, and work with their global environmental Management team to provide environmental services, solutions, programs, best practices, and technical guidance. Your role: to effectively and efficiently assure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and mitigate associated risks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the Environmental Management Team with overall environmental compliance management, training, communications, environmental engineering and design reviews as well as general project management and administration.
Developing, writing, and implementing environmental programs and procedures to drive compliance and environmental performance for the high-tech and manufacturing industries. Areas of focus include waste management, hazardous waste disposal, air and water discharge permitting, among others.
Provide resources to research and development teams on environmental regulations and best practices during both the design phase and implementation phase of new products and testing or trial procedures.
Developing, writing and delivering environmental topic training courses. Strong presentation skills and a comfort level with delivering to both small and larger audiences is key. Experience with eLearning development, while not required, would be beneficial.
Developing, writing, implementing and executing regulatory permit management and pollution prevention programs.
Auditing internal programs and policies for compliance with applicable regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, environmental, or relevant fields.
5+ years of experience in environmental compliance management, including permitting and facility auditing.
Must have experience working with waste (hazardous/non-hazardous), wastewater, EPCRA, SPCC, and SWPPP.
Experience in a cleanroom or laboratory setting is a plus.
Must understand EPA regulations in addition to state-specific regulations and their applicability.
Further understanding of additional regulations is a plus (WA SEPA, DOT / IATA, chemical safety, asbestos, lead).
Exemplary organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, are a must.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently, including but not limited to, project management, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, injury prevention, and environmental management.
Ability to work independently, with an attention to detail.
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety-sensitive roles).

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:

Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
Medium to heavy work
Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humid, etc.
Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at the knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward), and climbing
Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate, and possibly heavy-weight objects
Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts, or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling
May be required to wear an air-purifying respirator
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
