Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm approximately (slightly flexible on start time)


Location: This role will go between both Santa Fe Springs and Long Beach until further notice


Highly Preferred: BS in Food Science


Required: 3+ years experience in Nutraceuticals


**Willing to consider less experience only if they possess a Masters


Job Summary:


Reporting to the VP of R&D the R&D Specialist will play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring product quality. You will be responsible for developing new product formulations, sourcing raw materials, and managing the entire product development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

• Formulation and Development: Develop and optimize product formulations to meet company, customer, and regulatory standards.


• Raw Material Management: Source, evaluate, and qualify new raw materials to ensure product quality and compliance.


• Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Compliance team to ensure adherence to cGMP, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.


• Product Launch: Coordinate with sales and operations teams to launch new products efficiently and on time.


• Technical Support: Provide technical support to sales teams and customers.


• Laboratory Work: Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials, and scale-up studies.


• Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science highly preferred, BS Chemistry is also acceptable


• 3+ years of experience in product development


• Strong technical skills, including formulation, analytical techniques, and statistical analysis


• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
