The Judge Group is seeking an Electrical Technician for a manufacturing company in the Lumberton, NC Area.
Title Electrical Technician
Location: Lumberton, NC
Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr
Shift: 2nd or 3rd
Overview: The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of electrical, automation, and robotic systems within the production facility. This role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols and reinforces Safety as a Core Value. The technician ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality to minimize product and process variability.
Responsibilities:
•Safety and Compliance:
oAdhere to safe work practices and complete monthly safety audits/observations.
oFollow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality.
oReport any conditions or practices that may affect food safety, food quality, and personnel safety.
oEnsure regulatory compliance at all times.
•Technical Duties:
oInterpret electrical schematics and user manuals.
oTroubleshoot automation/robotics software and hardware issues, including PLCs and touchscreens.
oUse advanced network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues.
oCollaborate with IT to troubleshoot and maintain servers.
oCreate user manuals and training documentation; train technicians as needed.
oIdentify and facilitate process and automation improvements.
oAssist and consult with management/engineering on projects.
oProvide support and leadership to maintenance technicians.
oManage, backup, and organize all electrical/automation-related documentation.
Qualifications:
•Education and Experience:
oTwo-year certificate from a college or technical school and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
oExperience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is helpful.
•Skills and Abilities:
oAbility to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and procedure manuals in English.
oAbility to write routine reports, procedural manuals, and correspondence in English.
oEffective presentation skills for one-on-one and group situations.
oExperience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation is required.
oAbility to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
oStrong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and a team-oriented environment.
oSelf-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
oEffective communication of issues and project status with management, vendors, peers, and production personnel.
oTechnical leadership and support for maintenance technicians.
oProficiency with tools such as Multimeters, PCs, and software for troubleshooting electrical issues.
oAbility to work with internal and external resources to resolve issues promptly.
