Principal Creative Development Producer



Or Media Client is looking for a Senior Creative Producer, Film/TV, Animation who seeks to push the limits of the animation medium and up the bar of animated storytelling.



Responsibilities:

• Partner with filmmakers to drive and execute the creative vision of Film/TV titles from inception to delivery.


• Support and participate in developing the creative strategy on feature films, long-form series, and short projects.


• Day-to-day management of the creative development and production of assigned projects.


• Maintain solid relationships within the studio and with the external filmmaking community.


• Promote a culture of creative collaboration and facilitate peer feedback throughout the filmmaking process.


• Champion diversity and inclusion in all areas of the development process and department.


• Support the strategic priorities of the studio leadership team.


• Support the Global Head of Animation in the growth and mentorship of the creative producers.


• Facilitate and provide creative feedback in pitches, story and notes sessions, screenings, edit, and music/sound/mix sessions.


• Responsible for writer, director, and showrunner talent sourcing and matching.


• Collaborate on the development of the slate, including crafting filmmaker briefs, leading creative working sessions, and analyzing story structure.


• Responsible for the search and hiring of story and research consultants for multiple feature films, long-form series, and shorts.


• Responsible for research initiatives and integration of ongoing research that influences story development.


• Collaborate on story development of various ancillary projects.


• Become a trusted thought-partner to filmmakers and support the projects creatively throughout their lifespan.


• Collaborate with game and product teams across the organization to create integrated entertainment experiences.


• Provide development support and feedback on other Film & TV projects.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Excellent understanding of screenplay structure, character, and script analysis.


• Deep knowledge of film/tv/theater and the entertainment industry, with a strong interest in animation.


• Deep industry contacts with writers and creative talent as well as agents, managers, and scouts.


• Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of creative talent, executives, and management.


• Demonstrable flexibility, professionalism, and finesse when handling the multiple and diverse demands of a fast-paced and dynamic creative environment.


• Proven experience in talent sourcing and matching.


• Strong time management, organizational, and leadership skills.


• 3+ years of experience in managing a project or a team.


• 7+ years of experience in a relevant, comparable environment is required.
