Purpose of Role
The Benefits Analyst will ensure the company•s Benefits Plans align to business objectives, family values, and are comprehensive and competitive. Most core job functions will be analytical reviews of geographic, demographic, and claims data. Monitor Federal/State regulations updates requiring action to amend Plan Documents, reporting requirements, and member notifications. All job functions must be performed in a confidential manner and security controls must be utilized with forwarding sensitive information internally/externally as appropriate.
Areas of Accountability:
Continuous Benefits Plans Analysis to Ensure Plans are Cost Effective, Competitive and Compliant
• Support Open Enrollment, including benefits administration configuration, testing and plan document review.
• Reviews employer/employee cost-sharing structure for competitive practices and synchronizes with company•s budget.
• Establish regular monitoring controls of Retirement Plans administration (401k, Profit Share, and ESOP).
• Partner with Retirement Third-Party Administrators to create simplified financial strategies for retirement planning.
• Provide support with annual 401(k) true-ups and discretionary profit-sharing contributions.
• Work with Brokers, TPA•s, and other external resources to keep current on regulation updates, present updates to management, and work with Total Rewards Team to implement changes accordingly.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance for monthly accruals, annual budget process, and any applicable audits regarding Total Rewards data.
• Work closely with leadership and Broker to analyze claims utilization data, market trends, benchmarking, and costs.
• Other benefits tasks and projects as needed.
Total Rewards Initiatives
• Develop process and/or monitor integration files for all retirement values to be factored into Total Reward Statements.
• Create Total Reward communications and trainings, as needed, to educate and to update employees on all compensation components.
• Partner with ADP to streamline benefits/compensation setup as well as review any necessary file feeds.
• Ensure all Plans, Carriers, Vendors etc. perform in conjunction with Fiduciary responsibilities, Contracts are current, and our internal processes align accordingly.
• Other Total Rewards tasks and projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
• At least 3-5 years of benefits analytical experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to professionally communicate both verbally and written with employees, managers, and external business partners.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with Excel including using pivot tables.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow or equivalent HRIS.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Rehrig Pacific, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00.
