The Certified Chick-Fil-A Assistant Manager will assist the Certified Chick-Fil-A Manager and serve as a member of the management team for University Dining. This person will supervise staff on a rotational basis and assist with food service operations that align with the standards developed by Chick-Fil-A.

Required Qualifications
Associate degree in culinary arts and five years management experience in hospitality industry.
Supervisory experience.
Ability to:
develop vendor delivery schedules, receiving and storage procedures.
assist with the preparation of budgets.
work with minimal supervision.
supervise a minimum of 15 people in a large-scale operation.
work with all levels of staff and administration.
ensure that the completed product meets the required specifications in quality, quantity, and price.
assist with the evaluation of product impact on menu costs.
lift food commodities and packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Valid driver's license.
Successful interview.
Successful completion of three background checks.

Essential Functions
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Must be able to unload carts and trucks of food products weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
Ability to push and pull typical food service industry carts containing food products or banquet furniture weighing over 50 lbs.
Basic knowledge, understanding, and ability to utilize weights and measures to assemble recipes, including the use of measuring devices.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Ability to read ingredient lists, recipes, cooking instructions, service & presentation directions, and labels.
Understanding of written directions.
Understanding of verbal directions.
Work as a member of a University Dining team.
Familiarity with cooking terminology, cooking instructions, cooking equipment, sanitation, and dining safety.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
