The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is searching for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank for a four-year renewable term to add to our growing section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities will include the full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures with strong oncologic, hepatobiliary, transplant, trauma, vascular including CTA imaging, dialysis, non-vascular, portal venous, women's, and pediatric interventional radiology services.


The appointee will contribute to patient care, medical education, and scholarship, and join a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University of Chicago, and its affiliates. The appointee will also participate in a variety of interdisciplinary conferences and building collaborative relationships across campus. Other duties will include training and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. There are numerous opportunities for collaboration available within the University and with community partners. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.


The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. Prior to the start of employment qualified individuals must: 1) be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible, 2) have an active medical license in the states of Illinois and Indiana, and 3) have completed a vascular/interventional radiology fellowship or IR/DR residency.
