TechCrunch is looking for an experienced Editorial Operations Lead for our newsroom.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard new YF team users so that they understand the basics of our Wordpress publishing solution and other tools related to publication, including managing all subscriptions for all writers within policy


• Troubleshoot any publishing-related issues as they arise on behalf of the newsroom team; create, organize and execute all training related to Wordpress and other publishing tools


• Leverage the best practices established by the SEO team by implementing workflows and educating the newsroom team members on effective writing strategies. Monitor and report on adherence to SEO standards.


• Deliver newsroom requests to Product/Engineering and monitor progress, including prioritizing and documenting requirements related to the publishing process


• Track Editorial progress related to sponsorships, including forecasting inventory and managing delivery


• As needed, maintain various landing pages to update with new features, remove stale features and update the techcrunch.com navigation bar based on business, editorial, and SEO direction


• Address outside corrections emails sent toTechCrunch


• Support our team of freelance writers, including onboarding, contracts, payments, offboarding


• Create and maintain event coverage plans for TechCrunch events like Disrupt and StrictlyVC

Qualifications:

• 4+ years managing workflow, content and users in a WordPress CMS, and demonstrable understanding of how an organization manages content


• Highly skilled using the Marfeel analytics package


• Experience sourcing solutions for or writing requirements for content projects and tools


• Familiarity with tech media, events and the tech industry at large


• A self-starter that proactively seeks opportunities to drive efficiency and can hit the ground running


• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and external partners

The compensation for this position ranges from $56,250.00 - $117,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
