Job Description:

Microbiologist I


Employee Responsibilities:

• General laboratory operations (ordering supplies, preparing buffers/mobile phase/culture media, operating laboratory equipment, participation in quality and safety assessments, sample receipt, notebooking data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices)


• Environmental monitoring of classified areas including incubation of samples, reading of results, reporting, and approving data. Environmental monitoring activities include by not limited to contact plates, settle plates, viable/non-viable counts, microbial ID testing, and operator monitoring.


• Trending of data for quarterly reports and investigating EM excursions including OOS results.


• General laboratory maintenance (user accessible equipment, lab organization and cleanliness)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates' degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, engineering or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)


• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Branchburg, NJ are encouraged to apply.
