Production Specialist- 2nd Shift

We are looking for a Production Specialist for our Agawam, MA facility. This full time position is for 2nd Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM but you will train on 1st shift for up to 4 months from 6:00 AM to 2:30. PM. In this role you will ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of various equipment and machinery within a production environment. This involves using technical expertise to operate machinery, troubleshoot issues, perform quality checks, and contribute to workflow optimization. Additionally, the role demands a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration within a team to meet production goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment (e.g., coating vessels, blasting machines, polishing machines, cleaning lines, quality inspection equipment)
• Switch between tasks, machines, or departments based on operational needs
• Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions
• Document processes and issues accurately
• Visual inspection, packing, and shipping
• Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and inventory
• Make informed decisions within the scope of responsibilities
• Work closely with others to achieve shared goals
• Efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Follow standard procedures and interpret customer work instructions
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality Management to identify and address quality concerns
• Proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials
• Use various forms of PPE (e.g., respirators, gloves, safety shoes)
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to streamline processes
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

Your Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Certifications in equipment operation, safety, or quality control (preferred)
• Experience with industrial tooling, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance
• Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or systems (e.g., cutting tools, ERP systems, MS Office)
• Effective verbal and writing skills
• Ability to communicate in English
• Reduction in the cost of non-quality
• A Maintained high on-time delivery standard
• Minimized equipment downtime
• A high level of customer satisfaction
