Job Description:
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all electrical modifications and repairs performed following lock-out tag out procedures.
- Leads in the troubleshooting and maintaining of PLC programs being utilized on our process equipment.
- Maintain all Electrical Schematic Drawings up to date.
- Coordinates activities of outside services in the maintenance and servicing of all equipment, machines and cranes.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of our Control Systems.
- Prepares reports as necessary.
- Oversees Company's preventative maintenance program (electrically).
- Coordinates requisitions of parts and supplies.
- Coordinates all safety aspects of electrical systems.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
General:
- Complies with the designated ISO/TS16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
- Ensures company safety policies are adhered to, and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors.
- Wears personal protective equipment (PPE), as required, at all times.
- Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards.
- Strives for continuous improvement.
Position Qualifications:
- Certified Industrial Electrician with 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of control systems.
- Familiar with PLC, with some experience in programming.
- Knowledge of induction heat treat and painting processes for equipment preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
- Self-starter, with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Computer literate required, along with accountability, analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and risk management.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- May be required to work overtime, nights, weeks, and be on-call.
- Often exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting.
- May be exposed to contaminants.
- May be exposed to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations.
- May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures.
