Translate the operational plan of the plant into a maintenance strategy with emphasis on preventative and predictive maintenance.
Repair, rebuild, and install a variety of centrifugal, gear, and diaphragm pumps.
Disassemble, assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine/equipment and/or electronic malfunctions or defects in physical structures or electrical control panels. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following standard procedures.
Troubleshoot process and equipment problems by identifying and analyzing malfunctions, determining causes of problems, and developing and implementing corrective action.
Ensure that the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs make significant contribution to the reduction of maintenance costs and to the increase of equipment/facility availability.
Manage the maintenance of manufacturing equipment systems to ensure uninterrupted operations. Develop, schedule and control a preventive maintenance program using CMMS software to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition. Plan a continual work schedule to maintain all company equipment.
Provide leadership to the maintenance group if applicable; recommend improvements and modifications needed to maximize equipment reliability, availability and up-time. Develop, implement and/or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures. Coordinate programs such as emergency, preventive and predictive maintenance to insure optimum equipment capability. Examine objects, systems, equipment or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs. Recommend and implement systems and processes to improve productivity, product quality and employee safety.
Coordinate communications with plant management, manage tool and part inventories, monitor the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions and ensure established Environmental, Safety and Health practices are in place within the maintenance group. Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
Support the attainment of production/manufacturing goals so that the plant is successful in meeting its business and performance objectives. Ensure that all maintenance personnel provide a high level of customer service to manufacturing, engineering and other plant functions.
Maintain plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.
Coordinate with IT and Controls Engineer to perform, document, and analyze plant predictive maintenance data collection. Implement appropriate corrective actions in response to preventative and predictive maintenance data. Ensure predictive and preventative maintenance activities are properly documented and that documentation is controlled and available to Management.
Build and maintain a qualified team, when necessary, through innovative hiring and training techniques. Implement and manage recruitment and on-boarding processes, as required; Perform staff appraisal and performance review processes in line with company policies; Create and maintain professional development plans for direct reports; Set and manage performance goals, standards and expectations with direct reports in accordance with the company policy. Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
Participate in committee or cross functional teams for continuous improvement.
Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations
This position requires specific knowledge in the following areas to be successful:
• Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
• Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
• Principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution, including strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower modeling, leadership techniques, and production methods.
• Equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to produce motion, light, power, technology, and other applications, preferably those used in the manufacturing products.
• Materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to construct objects, structures, and buildings in an industrial setting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job may be responsible for the supervision of Associates, Supervisors and other personnel performing maintenance jobs.
