Our client is a well-established general contractor specializing in major roadway and highway construction, water, sewer, and drainage installation, as well as site and civil construction. They have successfully completed projects for NYCDOT, NYSDOT, ConEdison, National Grid, DEP, DDC, and various municipality roadway and utility projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million.
Your new role
As a Civil Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects related to utilities and sewer systems. Your responsibilities will include supervising and coordinating the work of subcontractors, ensuring project quality, safety, and adherence to schedules and budgets.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of utility installation and/or heavy highway construction experience.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction techniques, means, and methods.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Sense of Urgency: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Certifications: OSHA safety training preferred.
