Position Summary:
The Information Systems Analyst (Banner Programmer Analyst) is responsible for the support of the day-to-day operations of the University's ERP System, Banner. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work independently, on a team, as a team lead, or in collaboration with others on Software development projects in a database environment
Write, test, and debug computer programs and write program documentation utilizing current methods of analysis, design, programming (including SQL and PL/SQL), installation, testing, debugging, and documentation, to effectively serve various user groups throughout the institution
Work with colleagues within the Information and Technology Services department as well as with other departments, students, staff, faculty, and outside constituents
Maintain current knowledge of information systems specifically related to administrative computing functions
Develop, augment, and maintain a fully-integrated administrative computing information system
Work well with people at all levels
Ability to organize and manage various tasks/projects under changing deadlines, including ability to re-organize priorities on a regular basis
Collaborate across Information and Technology Services and campus on projects and serve in multiple roles such as project lead, analyst, developer, tester, and trainer
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL), Microsoft office products Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body Ability to analyze data, problem solve, work independently, multi-task, and set task priorities Detailed orientated and strong organizational skills Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures Ability to develop and recommend departmental goals, policies, and procedures, lead computer project teams and provide guidance and assistance, and design, plan, and manage computer system and application software projects
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

This position has been identified as a hybrid telecommuting position. The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined approved work location with a set onsite/work from home schedule. Individuals who choose this hybrid schedule will be required to have: • dedicated work space that provides privacy and security • secure internet access with appropriate upload/download • review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Telecommuting Agreement for A-State
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in information technology, business administration, or related field
Three (3) years of experience in system analysis, telecommunications, information technology, information security, or related field
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
