Job Description/Responsibilities
The Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, primarily in support of our Software Engineering and capstone project courses. As part of the SIUE School of Engineering, the Department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree in Computer Science, B.A. and M.S. Computer Science degrees, as well as a B.S. in Cybersecurity Engineering. The department currently has thirteen full-time faculty members and serves approximately 400 students across all programs.
Minimum Qualifications • A Ph.D. in computer science or related area. ABD candidates may be considered. • A demonstrated interest in teaching Software Engineering and mentoring our capstone projects. • A demonstrated interest in developing a quality research program and in attracting external research funding.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in software engineering or project management. • Teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Terms of Appointment The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is a 9- month appointment. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate instruction and university and public service. Candidates for this position will be expected to be studentcentered and demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning.
