The purpose of the high school internship position is to develop high school students through a work-based learning experience within the energy industry.
Interns will be immersed in meaningful work throughout the program and gain valuable exposure to various career pathways within the energy industry.
Participants will participate in weekly enrichment activities that explore various departments and facilities within the organization, in addition to attending networking, resume writing, interviewing and skill strengthening workshops.
The position is temporary, non-exempt, part-time/hourly.
Responsibilities: Go beyond the basics with numbers and work closely with our teams to understand department budgets, while learning how to input data correctly and efficiently.
Work with us behind-the-scenes and help plan and execute on various projects.
Collaborate with us and understand how to work within a professional team dynamic.
Support our customers and co-workers by compiling, processing and evaluating information.
Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age and currently earning high school credit.
Have some computer skills in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to self-manage, prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to receive constructive feedback with a growth mindset.
Specific departments may require a background check. Position is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
