Maintenance Planner at Lakeside Book Company in Crawfordsville, Indiana

Job Description:

Starting Rate: $20.00-$24.86 per hour for day shift with a $.50 an hour shift differential for night shift.

Work Hours: Day shift, 8 hours

Location: We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville, IN: North Plant at 1009 Sloan Street; South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West. This job is for the South Plant.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will:

• Manage, coordinate and schedule all maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare preventative maintenance plans and schedules that are in sync with the company's maintenance goals.
• Adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work
• Act as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations
• Keep track of supply and material inventories.
• Purchase equipment, tools or materials that may be required.
• Update maintenance logs for all machinery.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure tools and machinery are in working order
• Establish and maintain a reliable network of vendors and suppliers to ensure cost effective and timely support of the maintenance function.
• Ensure all permits and licenses are maintained.
• Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed related to the performance of the maintenance function.
• Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety that is expected during the performance of maintenance tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 20-50 pounds

• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift

Qualifications:

• Ability to do basic math and computer knowledge
• Prior knowledge of maintenance tasks preferred
