Century, a Kleinfelder company has an exciting opportunity for a Federal Business Development Senior Manager.

Responsibilities


  • Drives the growth and client goals and objectives in the US Federal Client Sector Plan and State/Local Government Client Sector Plan with a primary focus on the Eastern US

  • Leading business development, client engagement, client service management, and strategic marketing

  • Developing and maintaining high value relationships with Federal and Government clients

  • Growing market share by partnering with other large and small business partners for Federal and Government captures

  • Implementing short and long-term strategies that contribute to the growth and profitability

  • Actively participates in professional and/or industrial organizations to promote the Kleinfelder brand.

  • Developing new project opportunities, promote technical service diversification and new growth opportunity initiatives for Kleinfelder with existing clients

  • Expands and maintains current client base aligned with Region or Sector plans

  • Sets-up and leads initial meetings and presentations for potential and current clients

  • Ensures Opportunity Pipeline is accurate and updated

  • Conducts Go/No reviews as the best practice. Critically reviews and approves key proposals submitted to clients, ensuring signing authorities are enforced.

  • Represents and promotes Kleinfelder at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows


People

  • Adapts well to a highly collaborative work environment

  • Communicates regularly with Market and Key Client Leaders and Regions

  • Attracts strategic hires across all markets to develop the overall business


Performance

  • Achieves appropriate and effective pricing strategies to enhance profit in context of revenue growth objectives.

  • Works with Legal for review of Terms and Conditions on non-standard risk engagements

  • Monitors client activity across Sectors and recommends improved ways of increasing client penetration.

  • Leads, supports, and monitors strategic pursuits in Federal and Government Sectors

  • Develops goals and actions in alignment with the Market, Client Sector, Business Group, and Region business plans.

  • Strong commitment to client service excellence

  • 15+ years in the Sector in a client development/account management role with US Federal Government

  • Excellent communication and team building skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and presentation skills


For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree from an accredited school in business or related technical field (civil, structural, electrical or mechanical) including architecture).

  • 15+ years in the Sector in a client development/account management role with US Federal Government

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Able and willing to travel to client offices as needed

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $104,041 - $173,638 .
