Job Description:

Position Summary


The Senior Network Engineer is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining global Corporate and Operational Technology (OT) networks. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of network infrastructure by implementing best practices and standards while planning for necessary upgrades to support organizational growth.


Essential Responsibilities


Network Systems Management:



  • Oversee enterprise-level network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, SD-WAN, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Ensure seamless operation of networking devices and integration with IT systems.


Monitoring & Troubleshooting:



  • Monitor network performance and resolve outages/service interruptions promptly.

  • Use advanced diagnostic tools to ensure network stability.


Network Security:



  • Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures.

  • Safeguard network systems from vulnerabilities and external threats.


Collaboration & Coordination:



  • Work with IT teams, vendors, and service providers for smooth operations.

  • Partner with departments to assess needs, offer guidance, and align network infrastructure with organizational objectives.


Project Management:



  • Plan, manage, and execute network projects, including system upgrades and migrations.

  • Ensure alignment with business goals and technological advancements.


Compliance & Best Practices:



  • Adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies.


Documentation & Capacity Planning:



  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

  • Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery readiness.


Service Desk Support:



  • Assist in resolving network-related service desk tickets.


 


Education and Experience:


Degree:



  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field. OR 8+ years of equivalent professional experience and certifications Required.


Experience:



  • 8+ years in network administration or operations.

  • At least 2 years in a project management capacity.


Skills and Expertise:



  • Proficiency in networking technologies (TCP/IP, Modbus, Profinet, CIP, etc.).

  • Solid expertise in operational technology (OT) networks and Industrial IoT (IIOT).

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, HP, or similar enterprise hardware.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).

  • Strong understanding of network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Cat Tools, and Syslog.

  • Proven ability to design and implement robust network strategies.

  • Fluent in English - speaking, reading, and written documentation


Certifications:



  • Highly Desirable: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

  • ITIL certification


 


Additional Requirements:



  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
