JOB DESCRIPTION
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Proficiently screen and transfer calls to the appropriate extension.
Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a genuine warm and friendly manner.
Maintain the integrity of the guests' privacy, including confidentiality of personal information.
Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and special requests. Follow-up to ensure the guest is satisfied.
Maintain knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, features, hours of operation and area attractions.
Expected to listen to all guest complaints. Properly and professionally handle all complaints and if required, seek assistance from leadership.
Log guest requests and concerns according to the standard operating procedure. Communicate with departments in a timely manner.
Logs packages delivered to the hotel.
Carefully handles all emergency situations.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
The PBX Operator provides superior guest services. This includes providing prompt, courteous, and efficient handling of all incoming telephone calls. The PBX Operator provides information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Capability to handle multiple calls along with relaying essential messages.
Proper knowledge of computer skills, data entry, and word processing
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
