This highly motivated individual is responsible for managing the ACH team within Treasury Services. Qualified applicants must possess understanding of general banking components, have proficient time management skills, excellent communication, is motivated to grow their staff professionally and driven to lead a tenured team to be accurate and efficient in processing ACH for clients all around the country. Other key attributes include problem solving and leading team through the ever-changing payments industry.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Management with the daily workflow of ACH.
Review and recommend new methods and procedures for improving efficiency, review and revise procedure manuals.
Ensure adherence to department and company policies and procedures; monitor effectiveness of internal policies and procedures.
Compile and analyze data and documentation necessary for management decision making.
Monitor customer ACH file balances from day-to-day to ensure consistency.
Provide professional guidance and assistance as needed with direct reports and assist with questions based on current policies and procedures.
Train and mentor staff members; ensure proper training of new hires and cross training to existing staff.
Conduct interviews, new hire processes, and annual performance reviews for ACH associates.
Monitor processing volumes, employee productivity and quality, and effectiveness of production strategies and techniques. Ensure daily work volume is completed prior to processing deadlines.
Handle unusual or difficult customer problems either through direct personal action or referral to the proper department.
Able to perform all daily processing of ACH transactions to include collection and distribution of electronic files, transfers of files to the appropriate parties, and returning errors, non-sufficient fund, or unauthorized transactions to the company.
Responsible for managing the overall process of support for new and existing customers/clients.
Assist with regulatory audit/compliance requests and exams.
Assist with monthly ACH client billing.
Remain educated and well-rounded on all facets of Treasury Services, acting in the capacity of a liaison between the different areas of the department.
Analyze client returns for inaccuracies, negative trends, and increased volumes. Resolve according to department procedure.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance or related field preferred.
2 or more years of experience in a banking, financial, or retail organization required.
1 - 2 years of leadership experience in a banking, financial, or retail organization preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical problem-solving skills and manage daily stress while adhering to company policies and procedures and uphold the PREMIER Way.
