Five Star Land Title is a rapidly expanding Title Insurance company seeking to hire an experienced attorney for a Market Leader. We are a full-service real estate title and settlement company serving individuals, real estate firms and financial institutions in support of residential and commercial real estate transactions. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated and has the desire to grow with Five Star Title.
The Market Leader will be an integral part of our team and will be responsible for demonstrating or possessing the following:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MARKET LEADER:
Becomes familiar with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
Oversees all departments within the given market, including title, escrow, and sales.
Maintains production levels and meets or exceeds expectations.
Recruits and develops staff in accordance with organization's needs.
Oversees proper training of staff.
Manages and motivates staff, ensuring that all employees in the office are working towards a common goal.
Oversees audits, ensuring that all audits are complete and up to date.
Conducts market research and identifies potential clients and business opportunities.
Oversees and manages the entire title production and real estate closing process, including compliance with established policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain a professional working rapport with our clients, lenders and other real estate professionals and cultivate strong relationships with new clients.
Provides the highest quality service possible to all customers.
Works closely with staff to implement growth strategies.
Develops and implements client services and retention plans, analyzes sales data to inform or update marketing strategies, and assists with drafting sales pitches, presentations, reference material and other documents.
Manages multiple projects and meets deadlines.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff and clients.
Works closely with real estate agents, mortgage lenders, builders, buyers, and sellers.
Completes real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; assembling, preparing and closing documents; disbursing funds.
Reviews title abstracting reports and identify potential issues, encumbrances or clouds on the title; assists with clearing titles.
Generates title commitments to ensure each document is accurate and consistent with the current information reflected in the public land records (title abstract/report).
Prepares TRID-CD/LE, HUD/ALTA Statements and other documents related to closings by completing form and statements, collecting and reviewing existing documents.
Order payoff statements, homeowner's association invoices, estoppel letters, deeds and surveys as needed.
Complete calculations for pro-rated taxes and other assessments.
Satisfy liens and encumbrances against property and principals.
Complete closing transaction documents by assembling documents, reviewing documents with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining and notarizing signatures.
Complete closing by recording and filing of documents, preparing and distributing final closing statements and title commitments.
Work closely with Closing Team to ensure client satisfaction and on-time closing demands.
Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and work independently and be self-starting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to company policies and guidelines.
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree
Kentucky BAR Membership
A minimum of three (3) years of title examination/curative or title policy commitment experience is required.
Three to five (3-5) years of management experience related to title and escrow matters.
The ability to read and interpret real estate documents, legal proceedings, maps and surveys is required.
Proficient in MS Office, with a preference for experience with Qualia.

Must be detailed-oriented and self-motivated.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with customers, lenders, peers, underwriting staff and vendors.
Attention to detail combined with analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to make insurability decisions and translate title insurance guidelines.
Must demonstrate the desire and ability to find solutions to help customers have a positive experience closing their real estate transactions.
