This position responsible for promoting a safe work environment and protecting the public to ensure the health and safety of all TFF employees and customers. The incumbent assists in ensuring regulatory and TFF policy compliance to prevent injuries/accidents to reduce worker's compensation and liability costs. This role also assists in maintaining positive contacts with professional, regulatory and community organizations to provide a safe work environment and to strengthen TFF's standing in the communities that are served. This position may supervise others and will require international travel, as well as variable shift work.The incumbent conducts district/business unit-wide safety training/certifications to ensure compliance and consistency. This position conducts health and safety sessions and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyzes frequency, historical auto crash/injury data, web-based safety, BEAR cost reports to identify trends of most help needed areas and reduce company liability.
Assists with the implementation of business unit prevention and regulatory compliance training strategy.
Conducts site visits and attends safety meetings to respond to internal customer requests and concerns.
Works with management to contact non-compliant managers, develops action plans to address deficiencies, and determine appropriate solutions.
Conducts Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Recordkeeping Audit/update to maintain compliance with TFF regulations.
Gathers training and pre-course materials and communicates with Business Managers to distribute pre-course materials and to ensure timely participant completion.
Conducts health and safety sessions and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance.
Analyzes workers' compensation and auto liability to identify areas of cost reduction focus and most frequent/most expensive/most severe injuries and crashes.
Serves on audit team to conduct Regulatory Compliance Review (RCR), Business Process Review (BPR), KETER, National Feeder or TFF internal audits and audit reviews.
Visits injury/accident scenes and follows TFF investigation guidelines to conduct thorough analyses of all factors leading to the injury or accident and identify root causes.
Job Requirements:
U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be located in the same geographic location or willing to relocate
Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or current TFF employee with experience
Willing to travel 1-2 times a month & Willing to work variable shifts
Applies established procedures for responding to incidents; determines and documents information pertinent to incidents; communicates resolutions or results
Demonstrates an understanding of the functions, regulations, and procedures of compliance agencies or governing bodies; takes a leadership position in programs that reduce risk and enhance safety
Displays ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others
Possesses public speaking skills, ability to lead virtual calls, clearly articulate concise safety messaging and to coordinate/lead in-person training
