Description: Our client is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Birmingham, AL!



Job Title: Pharmacy Technician



Location: Birmingham, AL 35242



Job Type: Contract



Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday)



Key Responsibilities:

• Use multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare them to received orders, and produce mailing labels.


• Utilize the best methods for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures, including type of packaging and unique conditions (e.g., refrigeration), to ensure safe and secure delivery.


• Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging.


• Maintain various machines and equipment (e.g., IPD machines, auto packing machines).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience.


• Active Alabama pharmacy technician license.

Required Skills/Attributes:

• Proficiency in using multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare them to received orders, and produce mailing labels.


• Ability to utilize the best methods for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures, including type of packaging and unique conditions (e.g., refrigeration), to ensure safe and secure delivery.


• Experience in preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging.


• Ability to maintain various machines and equipment (e.g., IPD machines, auto packing machines).

Preferred Skills/Attributes:

• Previous experience in pharmacy and shipping.
