About the Role

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently recruiting for a 2nd shift Packer. This position will be based at our manufacturing facility in Bordentown, NJ. 2nd shift operating hours are 3:30pm – 12am M-F.

The primary responsibilities of the packer are to hand pack a wide variety of products and materials. This position is primarily responsible for checking, packaging and palletizing finished products and operating related packaging machinery to meet production order requirements. This position required a safety-first mindset, and all safety guidelines must be followed to perform the job.

What You Will Do

To meet the position's requirements, the individual must be able to perform each of the duties satisfactorily. The information below is considered representative of the skill set and physical attributes of this position.


  • Coordinate and communicate with production teams.

  • Keep the warehouse and operation areas clean, organized and efficiently maintained.

  • Assist with the Production Teams in the making of product.

  • Check and identify components at the machine.

  • Identify and report any defective items before they are shipped.

  • Count, measure, and weigh materials and products.


  • Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the production team. 

  • Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.

  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Essity products are met on a continuing basis.

  • Focus on continually improving the workflow of the area.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Who You Are


  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.

  • Experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.

  • Basic Mathematics, writing and reading.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility in work assignments.

  • Ability to check quality of the products.

Physical Requirements


  • Position requires constant walking or standing.

  • Must be able to climb ladders.

  • Occasional bending or kneeling.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to push/pull rolls weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Compensation

$17 /hourly rate + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
