Job Description:

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client in Michigan is currently seeking a Production Manager with experience in Food or Beverage Manufacturing. They are looking for someone who is a strong leader and has the capacity to grow within the company into more senior production roles. Full relocation assistance is being offered for candidates outside of a commutable distance.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• 
  


• Drive and continuously enhance daily operations in a fast-paced growth environment.


• Oversee and coordinate all production runs.


• Ensure high accuracy levels in daily production activities.


• Review and redesign production processes, implementing changes and retraining personnel as needed.


• Lead and manage supervisors and employees across various production departments.


• Train and develop employees to perform multiple tasks within the production department.


• Manage staff scheduling and attendance based on production needs.


• Identify, interview, and train talent for the department, including coaching, training, scheduling, and disciplinary functions.


• Set clear expectations for supervisors and team leads.


• Collaborate with HR to maintain adequate staffing levels.


• Perform well under pressure.


• Ability to work in cold (non-weather) environments.


• Follow and enforce all safety and security procedures, including GMPs, SOPs, and quality standards.


• Implement procedures to efficiently complete production activities.


• Prioritize tasks to effectively utilize available time and achieve results.


• Maintain professionalism and effective communication.


• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 
  


• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred


• 3-5 years of Perishable food manufacturing experience, required


• 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in food manufacturing facility


• 2 years analyzing data associated with processes, identifying opportunities, and providing recommendations for improvement


• 2 years of experience with Occupational Safety Regulations


• Strong Computer literacy and technical aptitude when dealing with food specific manufacturing equipment


• Ability to operate a forklift is also advantageous
