The Accounting Clerk is primarily responsible for managing the inventory and SAP transactions at a specified group of pole plants which includes inventory transactions, inventory reporting, document control and P.O. entry. They will also assist with troubleshooting issues and supporting the plants with inventory related items.
responsibilities:
Inventory Control
Complete daily required transactions in SAP for the assigned group of Plants - Receiving, Treating Charges, Rework & Reman Reports etc., inspection reports, framing reports, kiln reports, cull / cutback reports, peeling reports, other production reports if applicable.
Input intercompany stock orders as needed (orders from US plants to facilitate intercompany invoicing).
Understand and utilize product specifications to efficiently enter all transactions.
Complete daily any other required transaction in SAP for the assigned group of Plants.
Coordinate and prioritize completion of SAP inventory transactions to ensure stock movement is prompt and does not delay regular inventory transactions at the plant and shipping levels.
Liaise with internal departments (Procurement, Shipping, Sales & Operations, US Teams - for intercompany transactions) to troubleshoot inventory issues and design processes as required.
Work with assigned Plants to correct inventory issues as they arrive (ensuring proper count procedures are followed).
Assist with physical inventory count setup and planning and acting as a resource for plant questions.
Coordinate reconciliation of customer-owned inventories and other unique inventories with Sales and Accounting.
Operations Procurement Support
Input Purchase Orders in SAP Western Species Sites
Provide support to reconcile PO-related issues
Assist with coding of supplier invoices (SAP) and act as an intermediary between Plant Management and Accounts Payable.
Assist Accounting team with reconciliation of prepaid freight (US rail carriers)
General
Assist with other general administrative duties related to Operations as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
