Job Description



Employee Responsibilities:


  • Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine products and process intermediates

  • Prepare solutions/reagents and sample submissions to analytical partners

  • Set-up process equipment for lab-scale experiments

  • Maintain laboratory inventory of chemicals and consumables

  • Maintain records and experimental results following good laboratory practices (GLP)

  • Second-person review of experimental notebooks and technical documents

  • Communication of scientific information through oral presentations and written documents



The Ideal Candidate would possess:


  • Hands-on expertise with downstream unit operations (i.e. centrifugation, membrane filtration, chromatography, etc.) and process development for large molecules

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

  • Proven ability to work independently in hands-on laboratory setting




Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

  • 0 - 2 Years of industry experience

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point PA are encouraged to apply.
