Under general supervision of the Production Supervisor, ensure machines are working at full capacity while producing quality product. Machine operators will ensure machineries are properly running and perform periodic checks on output. Visually inspect production run and document results. Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area. The work is performed in a cold environment (about 45 to 50 degrees) and is repetitive. Perform duties and responsibilities in compliance with all GMP’s, HACCP, USDA and other Quality Assurance written programs. Practice Safe Work Procedures and follow all Safety Rules.
· Perform line set up, start up, operations, closing and changeover of equipment.
· Operate various machineries in the areas of set-up, troubleshooting and break down during operation.
· Ensure product quality is met throughout process.
· Performs checks and inspections to verify quality.
· Regularly make adjustments necessary to maximize production machine efficiency.
· Communicate all improvements to department lead and key departments
· Performs machine setups in accordance to applicable procedures and setup sheets.
· Accurately completes and maintains all production records.
· Adequate housekeeping at all times during shift.
· Review and ensure appropriate adherence with quality, safety policies and procedures.
· Perform other duties as directed by the lead/supervisor.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of 1-year manufacturing operator experience.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, utilizing basic math skills and auditing paperwork.
· Ability to effectively adapt to change.
· Ability to read, write, and speak English.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time; to work in confined areas, to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.
· Must be able to work overtime and week-ends
· Flexibility in schedule and can work different hours.
