Role reports to: Supervisor Regulatory Compliance

Location: Fort Washington

What you will do

The Retain Specialist I is responsible for assisting in the coordination and execution of all required tasks to maintain the Sample retention program in accordance with Kenvue policies and procedures and regulatory agencies. Responsible for sample management of all retain samples (ex. Finished products, raw materials and packaging components).

Key Responsibilities


  • Completes all requirements of the Retention program according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with ensuring that each sample in the Retention program has the proper lifecycle.
  • Assist with the visual inspection of the retention samples related to consumer complaints and Annual Product Reviews.
  • Prepares samples for disposal and coordinates destruction.
  • Assist during audits of regulatory agencies and external entities.
  • Provide back up as needed for other duties within the Compliance team.
  • Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for the role and as appropriate for the role.
  • Adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to the role and function.
  • Exercise the highest level of integrity in the tasks to be performed.
  • In a timely and prompt manner, identify, report and seek correction for deviations noted in the workplace.
  • Embrace a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
  • Assist the development, implementation and review of procedures, specifications and policies regarding good manufacturing practices, safety, and other regulatory areas to comply with all requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic reports relating to the area of responsibility.
  • Recommends modifications to standard operational procedures of the area.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understating of cGMP and other regulatory guidance relevant to pharmaceuticals is preferred.
