Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Estimator to join our Aerospace Composites Center (ACC) Production Engineering team located in Hazelwood, MO. The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing's Fighter Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Level 3:
Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program.
Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices.
Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals.
Develops estimating and pricing methods.
Evaluates and develops business cases.
Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).
Develops and maintains pricing models.
Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements.
Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals.
Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery.
Level 4:
Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program.
Leads development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques. Leads business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing.
Leads development of complex estimating and pricing methods.
Develops complex pricing models.
Leads the evaluation and development of complex business cases.
Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).
Determines database requirements and identifies new data sources.
Leads the development/application/maintenance of unique and non-unique rates and factors for estimating.
Leads compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
3+ years of experience in a Finance related position, such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
5+ Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
5+ Experience collaborating across multiple functions and teams
5+ Experience performing economic analysis, i.e. trade studies and cases
5+ Experience developing cost and price models
5+ Experience interpreting data from a variety of sources, including engineering, supply chain, customer and industry data
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Level 4:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 3: USD $84,150 - $103,950
Level 4: USD $106,250 - $131,250
