JOB DESCRIPTION

BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity as a Manager, Security Operations at either our Cove Point facility located in Lusby, MD or our Headquarters located in Glen Allen, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Manage daily physical security operations, security staff and security programs across the enterprise.
• Develop policies, procedures, and methodologies to support and maintain security operations.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of cost effective, complex physical security and regulatory compliance solutions.
• Analyze and design complex procedures to demonstrate and certify compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance for complex current and emerging security regulations.
• Working knowledge of security regulations and guidance: Maritime Transportation Security Regulations, TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines, and Hazardous Materials Regulations.
• Ensure the company is not subject to fines or sanctions.
• Collaborate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, to raise awareness of critical company assets and protective measures.
• Manage tactical emergency response to physical incidents.
• Assist local, state, and federal law enforcement to mitigate and resolve security threats.
• Manage projects effectively and ensures delivery of program commitments.
• Create and brief dynamic intelligence products to entities, both inside and outside of the company.
• Serve as a point of contact with federal, state, and local intelligence and law enforcement agencies, and other security organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum seven years' experience with physical security and monitoring systems.

Minimum five years supervisory or functional management experience.

Minimum two years additional, directly related technical experience.

Comprehensive industry knowledge of regulatory and government requirements that impact physical security.

Communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.

Ability to work with all organizational levels, to influence actions and negotiate outcomes.

Proficient with personal computers in gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or related field, or equivalent work experience. (Typically, four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Preferred Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications or Standards
Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
