Your impact as a Clinical Cellular Therapy Lab Operations Director is Vital. You will contribute to Vitalant' life-saving mission by leading the lab operations teams that work in our cellular therapy biotherapy processing locations. Every day you will help advance the mission to Unite Blood & Biologics Donors to Save and Improve Lives.

What you will do:

You will provide operational oversight for all cellular therapy processing lab locations.

Where you will work:

This position can be in one of the following locations: Tempe, AZ, Chicago, Denver or Pittsburgh. You will visit these lab locations quarterly.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Lab Compliance with internal/external regulations, policies, and procedures. Assures technical competence to provide testing services of highest quality.


• Directs overall management of the lab to include operations, personnel, public relations, and marketing.


• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the QA program for the lab to ensure high quality test services.

Requirements

What you will need:

Knowledge/Education

• Bachelor's degree required


• Masters degree preferred


• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as they relate to laboratory operations required


• Knowledge of management principles including human resources management, budget administration, financial analysis and business administration required

• Reference lab - SBB certification required.


• HLA Lab CHT certification required. CHS certification preferred.


• CTL - CABP preferred

• Reference Lab - Nine years of clinical lab or blood banking experience required.
  • To include: Five years supervisory experience.


• HLA or CTL - Nine years clinical laboratory, Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT), Cord blood (CB), or CT product manufacturing experience required.
  • To include: Five Years Supervisory Experience
