General Summary: Administer the promotion, awarding process, and recordkeeping for the Educational Foundation's scholarship program during two annual award cycles.
Requirements: Associate's degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in responsible administrative position; excellent writing, communication and organization skills; ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience with nonprofit management or student affairs strongly preferred. Experience with and/or knowledge of Raiser's Edge or AwardSpring or other scholarship management software preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Duties:
Administer scholarship website and manage distribution of more than 125 scholarships twice annually; create and update scholarship applications; assist students in application process; run reports as requested; promote site via social media and email blasts in coordination with CCAC ITS department and Registrar's Office; and create training materials and user's guides.
Coordinate application review process and awarding of scholarships; confirm vetting of scholarship award recipient personal information; work with CCAC Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Finance offices to transfer scholarship awards to recipients' accounts; notify students of scholarship awarding.
Promote the scholarship program in-person at CCAC campus and center locations; run student application workshops; work with various CCAC departments to promote scholarships to internal and external constituents.
Support student scholarship recipients and provide information regarding the award process; thank you letters; contact with the CCAC Financial Aid Office; and the annual scholarship luncheon.
Track academic progress and maintain contact with scholarship recipients and maintain records for use in donor stewardship activities.
Assist with assembling year-end scholarship reports to donors.
Researching emerging trends and best practices.
Assist with CCAC Educational Foundation activities.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
