Performs specialized work in the planning, conducting and/or supervising of original research at TTUHSC. Responsible for participating in, planning, scheduling and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
Works closely with physician teams to further research projects in the department regarding children's mental health. Department liaison with the Office of Clinical Research, Covenant IRB, and TTUHSC IRB. Reports to research committee updates on research and scholarly activity projects. Orient and instruct medical students involved in psychiatry research projects. Work with faculty and residents to coordinate research by the Department. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritizing assignments according to the needs of the study or office. Multi-tasking and detail-oriented is essential. Able to type and has a working knowledge of MS Office-specifically MS Word, MS Outlook.

Training in human subject research procedures, including confidentiality and consenting subjects, and training and certification in several assessment instruments and surveys.
Implement study surveys and measures.
Use electronic medical records for screening, scheduling for study visits and communicating with providers.
Collect data, use data capture systems and complete reports.
Interact with patient subjects, guardians/parents, providers and regulatory personnel.
Attend regularly scheduled network, node, one-on-one and training meetings.
Coordinate with department, node, interdepartmental and network personnel on anything related to the study.

Required Qualifications
