Role:
Install, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial cooking equipment i.e. convection ovens, conveyor-ovens, combi-ovens, fryers, grills, slicers, steamers and microwaves. Experience servicing refrigeration equipment is a plus!

Min CompensationUSD $25.00/Hr. Max CompensationUSD $45.00/Hr. Responsibilities
Install new commercial kitchen equipment to include dishwashers, conveyers, ovens, stoves, kettles, fryers, steamers and ice machines.
Diagnose commercial cooking equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup.
Disassemble and re-assemble equipment to perform trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, and repair
Able to read, understand and quote customer prices.
Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to perform service of unit.
Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment to test, setup, or maintain equipment.
Give and take written and verbal instructions.
Complete documents to verify work performed.
Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer.
Work flexible hours as required as well as on-call nights and weekends when assigned.
Explain service charges and work performed to the customer.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be fully vaccinated due to some clients having this requirement to work onsite
Must have a current valid driver license
High school or equivalent
EPA Certification
Burn and fire watch certificates permit is a HUGE PLUS
Knowledge and experience with light plumbing, electrical and copper work as it pertains to the new installation
Diagnostic ability as demonstrated through a minimum of 3 years' experience and/or training in commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment such as fryers, grills, coolers, and ice machines.
Ability to competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision; willing and able to consistently work the schedule required by job demands.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.) regularly and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
Ability to climb and work from 8' ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirements.
Ability to tolerate environmental conditions consisting of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation.
Education and Experience:
Specific Industry Certification/License
High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical requirements:
Must be able to drive extended hours for assigned calls which could require up to 8-10 hours of driving time, on occasion
Must be able to operate a vehicle safely and legally
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must not exceed ladder ratings
Must be able to climb ladders multiple times, including climbing ladders to access rooftops comfortably and routinely with extension and/or fixed ladders
Must be able to haul/carry equipment and tools to roof via ladders
Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness and safety boots to safely perform job duties
Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
Must be able to stand hard and sometimes slippery surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours
This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders
Must be able to maneuver confined access areas
This role will be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions based on location
Must be able to regularly operate computer equipment, such as iPad and Cell phone
