The Machine Operator must be a motivated team-oriented person with hands on processing capabilities, a quality background, motivational and training skills, strong leadership and people skills, and a good mechanical aptitude. The Machine Operator will assist the supervisors with the production of product, ensuring smoother and consistent operation to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Duties and Responsibilities
•Clean machine material hopper filters
•Conducts daily safety observations
•Follows schedule and assists with line set ups
•Know proper procedures to follow in case of emergency, such as potential personal injury, water, gas leak, power failure, inclement weather, etc.
•Maintain 6S and Toolboxes
•Monitor all PPE worn by all employees to ensure compliance with plant standards
•Monitor machinery and equipment to detect problems.
•Performs other tasks as assigned
•Responsible for product line changes
•Schedule the correct labor and relief operators for all production lines running in the designated zone
•Serves as backup for the Process Technician by directing shift activities and correctly reporting all production activities for his/her working zone
•Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances
•Suggest improvements in work methods and procedures by communicating directly with the supervisor
•Troubleshoot work-related problems by using proven problem-solving techniques
•Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA standards
