PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This is a key position in the day-to-day operations of the Company. Candidate will assist in variety of clerical responsibilities within the Materials Sales billing department. The candidate should be able to multi-task, pay close attention to detail and having some knowledge of the readymix concrete business would be ideal. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Validating customer sales orders and ticketing for readymix point of sale systems on a daily basis
Maintain customer pricing in point of sale and accounting systems
Work with different departments to resolve billing issues
Work with sales team and customers to create quotes and orders
Set up new customer and maintain existing customer data
Provide customer with appropriate product and project documentation
Research customer discrepancies
Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP rules
Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
Other duties as directed
Other Requirements:
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Hinkle Company employees
Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule
Knowledge with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Overtime may be required during peak season
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience (preferred)
Prior ready-mix dispatching experience of 1-2 years (preferred)
Excellent communication skills and professional personal presentation
Great attention to detail and stress tolerance
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products preferred
Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours
Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical
Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times
Be willing to travel and work away from home when required
Report to work at the designated start time
Be able to work overtime when required
Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required; and
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
