Compensation: $99,000 - $121,000 (based on experience)
Basic Job Functions:
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for potential projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to determine best fit for project needs.
Prepare and submit bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for data center projects.
Maintain an updated database of unit costs and construction cost data.
Review and interpret construction documents, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project scope and budget.
Monitor and track project costs throughout the pre-construction phase to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
Provide value engineering recommendations to clients to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating tools and software.
Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients, detailing project estimates and cost breakdowns.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and market conditions to provide accurate and competitive estimates.

Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry or comparable industry.
Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
Proficiency in labor estimation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and construction estimating software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cost estimating.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
Ability to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Data center sector industry experience.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Experience using design software such as AutoCAD, preferred/ SolidWorks, Revit
Certification in estimating or project management (e.g., PMP, AACE).
Experience in the data center industry, with knowledge of specific requirements and challenges associated with data center construction.
