Compensation: $99,000 - $121,000 (based on experience)





Basic Job Functions:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for potential projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
• Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to determine best fit for project needs.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for data center projects.
• Maintain an updated database of unit costs and construction cost data.
• Review and interpret construction documents, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project scope and budget.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the pre-construction phase to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
• Provide value engineering recommendations to clients to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating tools and software.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients, detailing project estimates and cost breakdowns.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and market conditions to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry or comparable industry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in labor estimation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and construction estimating software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cost estimating.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
• Ability to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data center sector industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience using design software such as AutoCAD, preferred/ SolidWorks, Revit
• Certification in estimating or project management (e.g., PMP, AACE).
• Experience in the data center industry, with knowledge of specific requirements and challenges associated with data center construction.
