Sanctuary for Families is New York's leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence. POSITION OVERVIEW
Sanctuary for Families (SFF) is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for the agency's Rapid Rehousing program, Housing Bridge. The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in providing case management services for IPV survivors using client-centered and trauma-informed approaches, including safety planning and advocacy. The Program Coordinator oversees program activities related to Housing Bridge and stabilization services, providing comprehensive support to clients to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. The Program Coordinator also includes supervision of one Case manager, guiding their day to day work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate day-to-day program activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to program goals.
Oversee the scheduling of events, workshops, and other program-related activities.
Provide day to day supervision to the Housing Bridge case manager.
Carry a caseload of direct client cases or provide direct client services for Housing Bridge clients including completing intakes, developing service plans, providing supportive counseling and coaching to support the client in overcoming any barriers impacting their housing status.
Facilitate or co-facilitate client groups or oversee other aspects of client programming as required within their program.
Provide follow-up home visits as needed to ensure stability and further progress towards self-sufficiency; this includes support, advocacy, reducing isolation, listening, problem solving, and identification of resources to assist with reintegration of participants in the community.
Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote the Housing Bridge program and advocate for the target population.
Develop and facilitate trainings on topics relevant to their program to internal and external audiences.
Coordinate with the other staff and outside providers as needed to provide comprehensive services and programming for clients within the Housing Bridge program.
Develop strong relationships with referral base and partner agencies.
Provide crisis intervention for clients with a focus on trauma, victimization, and other related issues.
Maintain accurate case records and utilizes internal database systems to track direct services to clients.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
LMSW or related clinical master's degree with licensure in place; or 5 years relevant experience.
3+ years of experience in the social services field, preferably in domestic violence and/or serving homeless clients.
At least one-year supervisory experience preferred.
Fluency in both English and Spanish or additional community language strongly preferred.
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel within the 5 boroughs, make home visits and meet clients in the community as needed.
Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize.
Familiarity to Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Work, and Excel.
Budgeted Salary: $67,584.00 - $74,655.00 per year; based on experience pursuant to wage scale in accordance with collective bargaining agreement
Work position is Full-time, Salaried/ Exempt
Work schedule is currently hybrid; must be able to meet job location schedule obligations
