Job Summary:
This is a skilled position working in a production environment. As a member of the Carpentry & Forming Department, you are responsible for the construction and installation of formwork and other products needed for the assembly of Precast Concrete Units.
Essential Functions:
1. Safety always wins. Adhere to all Company Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, to support business objectives and ensure a safe work environment. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
2. Ensure the shop area is free of hazards and sawdust, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
3. Innovation. Review the previous day's production daily to identify opportunities for quality improvement. Assist in preparing and staging materials for the following day to ensure efficient workflow and notify the Crew Leader of any missing materials or information to prevent work stoppages.
4. Focused. Follow the Crew Leader’s instructions to maintain a consistent workflow throughout the day. Accurately read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to ensure precise execution.
5. Efficiency. Properly maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Results matter. Construct, install, and repair form block outs, rails, bracing, and other structures using wood and various materials. Cut, shape, and join materials with screws, nails, staples, and adhesives.
7. Determined. Utilize a variety of construction tools, including hand tools, tape measures, levels, saws, drills, and mechanical tools, to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
2. Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is required.
3. Minimum of 1 year of carpentry experience is required.
4. Reliable transportation is required.
5. Ability to consistently meet established deadlines and manage tasks effectively.
6. Must arrive on time for scheduled shifts, prepared with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), accurately clock in for the designated job and product assignment, and check in and out with the Crew Leader before leaving the work area. Additionally, must notify the Crew Leader in advance of any scheduled time off, appointments, or absences.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
8. Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position is based in a manufacturing plant and construction environment, involving physically demanding tasks, including the movement of objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more. The role requires working in proximity to moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as frequent lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
