ABOUT US At KRT, we don't just build homes for our clients; we build homes around our clients. Unlike other companies, KRT does not begin the process with formulas or floor plans. We start by finding out who you are, what your interests are and what you want in a home.
After 30 years of custom homebuilding, we've learned the best ideas come from you. Your needs, passions and vision are the building blocks to your custom home. KRT is a versatile company. As a true design/build company with an in-house architectural design team, we can create original blueprints or work from an existing home plan. We build throughout the metro and surrounding areas, so our clients are not limited by location.
Our focus is not where the home is built-but how it is built. KRT utilizes the most advanced design software, building techniques and construction materials in the industry. We also incorporate the latest technology features from energy efficient practices to environmentally friendly products. We work with you from securing financing to selecting fixtures, we will be there every step of the way.
Design. As a true design/build company, KRT can create blueprints or work from an existing plan. With degrees in Architecture and Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Kent Therkelsen's professional training and 30 years of experience are integral to KRT's custom designs. We employ a state-of-the-art CAD system to give our clients a three-dimensional perspective of their project while its still on the drawing board, and provide complete design support including our in-house Omaha showroom.
Construction. KRT does not compromise on building standards. We do not cut corners or accept less than 100% from our people. We use only the best products in their respective categories. We have two construction superintendents that have both been with KRT for over 18 years each. Almost half of our employees have been with us 10 years or longer.
