International Emergency Response Coordinator 2 at Garmin International in Montgomery, Texas

Overview

We are seeking a full-time International Emergency Response Coordinator 2 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coordination of moderately complex search and rescue efforts with emergency personnel in support of Garmin customers.

Essential Functions

• Answers intermediate inbound SOS calls from customers through Garmin's SOS device technology


• Must display strong communication skills and always maintain professional interactions with Garmin customers, emergency responders and other members of the Garmin team


• Initiates emergency response procedures and communicates with responding agencies


• Communicates specific details provided by the customer to emergency responders for effective execution of emergency response procedures


• Thoroughly documents activity and results in an organized/timely manner


• Develops/maintains department and company image and philosophy to the public


• Demonstrates compassion while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (External candidates)


• Demonstrated mastery in performing IERCC Coordinator 1 essential functions and a minimum of 2 years as an IERCC Coordinator 1 (Internal candidates)


• Demonstrated interest in working with customers when under pressure


• Demonstrated customer service expertise and active listening skills


• Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills


• Must exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others and possess excellent time management/follow-up skills


• Demonstrated reliable and predictable attendance


• Demonstrated computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
