Position: Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Work with Architects/engineers to build a best-in-class Disaster Recovery solutions. Work with critical business services to ensure that its systems have an adequate protection plan in place to respond quickly and efficiently to an emergency. Responsible for defining, planning, and coordinating the creation, reporting, and testing of Disaster Recovery plans for the technology team. Develop DR framework, including best practices and guidelines. Provide long-term vision and strategic direction for disaster recovery program. Establish and maintain the technology DR plan, processes, and procedures. Acts as a consultant to teams in applying a DR framework to their technology stacks. Working cross-functionally, assists in setting DR strategy, coordinating DR runbooks, and leading DR test exercises. Responsible for the assessment of potential vulnerabilities and the development of procedures to minimize downtime and protect Walmart's IT assets. Assist in developing and implementing strategies and processes for providing Disaster Recovery capability in the Cloud and On-premises. Solve difficult business problems using the latest and greatest technology and automation, innovating the future of Disaster Recovery at Walmart. Lead Disaster Recovery testing activities including Test preparation, execution, and post-test documentation. Evaluate and research new technologies that increase DR capability and reduce expenses. Present, discuss and explain pertinent topics and issues appropriate to the audience. Telecommuting / work from home is permissible.
Minimum education and experience required: 4 years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: designing and implementing Disaster Recovery Solutions in Azure Cloud and VMware virtual platform; installing, configuring, automating and monitoring Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS); administering Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 & Linux operating systems (RHEL & SLES); implementing and managing Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) in Cloud using Azure Site Recovery; automation/scripting language - PowerShell and Azure CLI; supporting Microsoft MSSQL, Oracle & SAP HANA Databases; Storage & Backup - NetApp and Azure Blob; replication technology - NetApp SnapMirror; Identity and Access Management - Microsoft Active Directory, Azure RBAC, and Single Sign-On; Networking - DNS, DHCP, IP Addressing, Routing, Load Balancer, and Virtual Private Network (VPN); and Security - Certificate Services, Azure Network Security Group (NSG), and Firewall. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $102,627 - $180,000 / year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives
