The Personal Trainers main responsibility is to develop and deliver safe, comprehensive training and wellness programming to the members of the Fitness Center choosing to participate in this dedicated, additional training and assistance. This part-time position reports directly to the Fitness Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be at least 18 years of ageProvide individual personal training, tandem (partner), and small group training to the clients of the fitness centerDevelop a training program including fitness and wellness goals and testingKeep records and track progress of each clientAssist in the sale of personal training and maximize client retentionProvide 45-minute fitness orientations to new members of the fitness centerAttend fitness team meetings and individual meetings with the Fitness DirectorOutstanding interpersonal communications and coaching skillsKnowledgeable and current with fitness and health science and trendsStrong desire to learnTeam-orientedPersonable and professionalAt least 1 year of personal training experience preferredPrevious experience with fitness program design requiredStrong history in customer service environmentCapable of lifting up to 50 poundsPhysical agility and strengthMust be able to stand for prolonged periods and walking frequentlyCapable of demonstrating exercises prescribed to clientelePerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Fitness Director and/or the General Manager
