Levels Based on Technical Proficiency and Experience:
Cylinder Technician I $19-22/hr
Cylinder Technician II $22-25/hr
Shift: 1st - Monday-Friday 7am-330pm
The Opportunity
As a Cylinder Technician with Tradebe, you will manage day-to-day operations in the cylinders area, ensuring safety and processing cylinders during your shift. Experience with hazardous materials is preferred.
Key Job Responsibilities
Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Assist with receiving, inventory management, organization, and outbound shipments of cylinders.
Sample liquid and solid chemicals.
Process cylinders in a batch reactor and analyze reactions.
Handle various gases, including toxics, flammables, acids, bases, and oxidizers.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies for safe cylinder storage.
Classify, identify, package, and label hazardous waste for transport and disposal.
Operate equipment for specialized projects, including loading and unloading.
Assist with chemical emergency responses and large inbound loads.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
Experience in the hazardous waste industry is preferred.
Familiarity with processing gases and handling hazardous materials is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to read and apply operational documents and SOPs.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
