Location: Hybrid - onsite 1-2 days a week Fort Belvoir, Va

As a Strategic Communications professional you will assist the Army with developing and maintaining their Strategic Communications strategy. The candidate also requires excellent writing to support strategic communications and marketing efforts to highlight the client's mission and accomplishments. The candidate will support the Government team to manage and communicate various tasks related to installing network equipment at multiple sites and will collaborate regularly with the government Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads in support of the mission.

Program:

The project you will be working is to support a DoD U.S. Army command with Strategic Communications. You will work directly with the stakeholders to support their requirements.

Skills & Requirements

Responsibilities broadly include:

  • Strong leadership voice with excellent oral communications in small and large groups, ability to communicate effectively in writing to diverse audiences, and demonstrates active listening and ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
  • Strong operations background, preferably in DoD.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time, meet schedules, deadlines, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Develop briefings, communiques, and strategic communications/marketing materials that effectively communicate the client's mission and accomplishments.
  • Stay up to date on Army communications trends and industry news, and branding guidelines as directed by the government client and Army.
  • Research and draft client-facing materials (writing tasks approximately 250 words), including memos, presentations, press releases, talking points, fact sheets, mission and vision statements, overall messaging, social media content. quarterly articles, press releases, talking points, speeches, biographies, and overall messaging.
  • Facilitate networking interactions between Army/Department of Defense (DoD) customers and industry to include Conferences, Workshops, Industry Day Events and Lunch and Learns.
  • Plan and facilitate internal command events to include Retirement, Promotion and Change of Command Ceremonies.
  • Develop and implement strategic communication and marketing plan(s), as well as maintain the organizations strategic calendar to enhance knowledge of and interest in the command.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and branding, as well as an understanding of design software to include Adobe products.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required, and at least a DoD Secret Level Clearance

Annual Salary: 125,000k - 145,000k
