We are looking for a site buyer to manage bidding activities for services and non-stock materials, support cost-saving initiatives, and participate in negotiations. You'll build vendor partnerships, work with business units to capture savings from supply contracts and communicate with plant personnel. Your role will include confirming pricing, monitoring deliveries, reviewing invoices, expediting deliveries when necessary, and providing accrual documents for financial closing. Stay vigilant about issues affecting colleagues and report any environmental or safety concerns.
Where You'll Work:
This is a hybrid Site buyer role based out of our New Wales office (located at 3095 COUNTY ROAD 640 WEST | MULBERRY, FL 33860). This position is eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
What You'll Do:
Communicate with plant team members to understand their procurement needs
Negotiate with suppliers to provide internal customers with the best solution for meeting materials and service needs
Identify, attain, and record cost savings
Build lasting vendor partnerships and work with business units and other resources to develop and enhance overall purchasing strategies
Collaborate with Mosaic's accounting team to ensure invoices are paid per contract agreements
Maintain purchase agreements for your assigned sites
Expedite orders, address shipment inconsistencies and handle freight arrangements
Execute purchase agreements
Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of BU maintenance and operations purchasing strategies
Procure rental equipment, labor, and other goods needed to operate an industrial plant
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Prior experience as a Buyer or in procurement (Ideally 3 years or more)
Excellent communication and people skills
Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
The ability and willingness to negotiate contracts
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience using SAP Fieldglass or Ariba
